Different Types Of Lunges For Losing Weight

If you have recently been working out a lot then you probably know which exercises are not only good for your overall body strength but those that also help you reduce weight. There are different types of lunges that you can try to lose weight. If you think lunges are the most effective exercise for you, some are mentioned below that may come in handy.

1. Basic lunge

You must know how to do the basic type of lunge before you move on to other harder variations. You must start by putting your hands on your hips and standing straight. Then step forward with your right leg and lower your body while bending your right knee to a right angle. Pause, go back to the starting position and repeat with your left leg.

2. Goblet reverse lunge

It is not as complex as the name sounds. You have to hold a dumbbell vertically for this and then step backward with your right leg instead of forward for this one.

3. Reverse rotate lunge

This one is a little bit simpler to the one before it. You have to hold a dumbbell by the ends, near your chin. Then you have to step backwards with your right leg, go in to a lunge and rotate your upper body towards the right as well.
